  • Placement is excellent in our college, lots of company came here every year.
  • Which is one of the best things i found in college.
  • It is literally one of the best among all the NIT's
  • Sports:This college is very good for sports enthusiasts in almost every sports.
  • The place Kolkata you can go to any place the connectivity is very good

Dislike

  • They dont have proper industrial or academic connections, and thats why no core aerospace company comes to our campus.
  • My college provides a very limited number of internships, especially in the Information Technology Department.
  • The placement cell is not very active and has failed to attract any core aerospace companies such as Boeing or Airbus.
  • It gives a 2/3 tuition fee waiver to OBC and Gen if their income is less than 5 lakh.
  • The gender ratio in B.Tech is very poor. There are very few girls in B.Tech courses.
  • Moreover, the food in the mess is very bad, and so is the behavior of the mess staff.
  • One bad thing is that there is no student body to defend or protest, and there is bad diversion by management.

Placement Experience:

If you are from CST, it, etc branches you will most probably get a decent or very good job if you put in the effort. The average package of the CST branch last year was around 19lacs (which has increased this year). The same was for IT ranch. Etc branch has also average above 10. Companies hiring for core-related jobs come less in number. Atlassian, Microsoft, and google were the top companies that came for recruitment last year.

Remarks:

you get this college through jee mains rank. After Jee mains and jee advanced, JOSAA seat allocation starts and you can get this college through it. It comes under (nit+system). Josaa contains 6 main rounds and 2 extra rounds (CSAB). If you are getting into this college in any round you have to submit all required details(given on the JOSAA website). Then there will be offline verification in which you have to come to college to submit all the details. Important documents include the 10th and 12th mark sheet, income certificate (from tehsildar) adharcard photocopy anti-ragging certificate from court 4 passport-size photos (needed to paste on admission form). Then you have to submit all fees (around 75000 in my time). you also have to open a student bank account in UCO bank in the college branch for a smooth financial process. if you are from a reserved category, you need to bring a category certificate for that. There is no need for a gap certificate in this college(as some colleges need it). Overseas students have diff processes.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement, 7&8 semester students are eligible for the placement. Our department's highest package is 30LPA and the average package is 696000rs. In the last batch, there are 84 % of students got the placement. I want to become an entrepreneur.

Remarks:

Eligibility of the course - maths stream as a subject in your senior secondary education (12th) and at least 75% secure there. Every year NTA releases the form for taking admission to any national institute of technology ( B.tech and B.arch) and the application form fee is 650 RS. , and their exam papers occurred in Jan, Feb, March, and April, you can choose all of them or anyone according to your preparation. Reservation is given by category wise so SC, and ST students get more benefits. I want to suggest that reservation is based on family income rather than category.
