Funded seats at IISc, IITs, and NITs

Regular M.Tech seats are available at IISc, IITs, and NITs for candidates whose employers have paid for the seats. These applicants are not required to take the GATE entrance exam in order to be considered for admission to M.Tech programmes.

Eligibility criteria

• Some IITs and NITs may also conduct their own written M.Tech admissions exam.
• Over the course of two years, the employer is responsible for providing financial help to the candidate.
• Candidates must have either a B.Tech or a B.E. degree. The required qualifying marks differ from one institution to the next.
• Candidates applying for M.Tech through financed seats must have worked for at least two years.
• Candidates must have secured a two-year study leave from their employers.

Eligibility criteria

• Candidates must have a B.E., B.Tech (any field, such as CSE, ECE, EE, Civil, or Biotechnology), Master of Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Computers, or MCA degree, depending on their course.
• Candidates applying for M.Tech must have completed B.Tech in the suitable stream.

IIIT Bhubaneswar

Entrance Exam - AP PGECET

Eligibility criteria

• Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. They should be able to show required documents to confirm their residency.
• The minimum age requirement for candidates is 21 years old.
• Candidates must have graduated with at least 50 percent for general category candidates and 45 percent for reserved category candidates from an AICTE/UGC certified institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh or any comparable board in the related subject.
• Final-year B. Tech or equivalent applicants, as well as B. Pharm applicants, will be eligible for admission to the relevant M.E./M.Tech/M.Pharmacy programmes.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed a qualifying or equivalent test from an accredited university.
• Students must have received at least 50% in the qualifying examination (45 percent in the qualifying examination for SC/ST and Category I candidates from Karnataka).
