Placement Experience :

Haven't heard of campus placements here as for now. I'm currently on my second semester pursuing Political Science Hons and I hardly think there would be jobs available immediately after.

Remarks :

After completing my 10+2, I was looking for courses, I am preparing for CLAT. Open school was an option. I decided to go for with college options like- IGNOU and SOL. SOL Or School of Open Learning was chosen being it was under Delhi University. Overall experience here would be somewhat okay. Due to the lock-down being put up there have been a lot of confusions as to how and when papers would be held, papers and assignment dates were continuously being postponed and there has even been a kind of a communication gap towards the students.

Ques. Can I study a BCA from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and simultaneously a B.A. from SOL?

● Top Answer By Arjun Pathak, on 08 Nov 21

Ans. Yes, as per the UGC guidelines you can pursue two or more degrees simultaneously but from different universities. Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has all the mandatory recognitions for distance learning so you will get a globally valid degree.  But before enrolling in any institution for distance learning, make sure you go through the authorized enrollment partner so that you can get all the services properly.Read more

Ques. Can a student be promoted next year in DU SOL even after failing in all subjects?

● Top Answer By Tia Basu, on 22 Oct 21

Ans. After reading the reviews about this online, I can say that if you fail the majority of the subjects, you will not be promoted at all.  Students failing less than 50% of the exams, for example, you have failed in 8 subjects but passed in 5, then there is a chance of you getting promoted. Though you will have to give the exams in the following semester, failing which you will get promoted but have to repeat the exams again every semester. If you fail in one or more subjects in your last semester, then you have to wait a year-long for the next exam, after which you will receive your degree.Read more

Ques. Is DU SOL good?

● Top Answer By Rima Das, on 22 Oct 21

Ans. One of my friends graduated from DU SOL. According to him there are certain things you learn which will be beneficial for your career ahead. The important thing is you can get your degree as well as prepare for any competitive exam simultaneously.  If you need extra lessons, weekend classes are conducted.  You can also go through King Champion Guides and the last 10 years because it is the best to score good marks. CA, CS or CMA with Delhi university B.Com (H) degree will provide you a respectable job and also other similar opportunities. They have one of the best alumni networks. It is suggested that you go for DU SOL only if it's your remaining option. Because some reviews of the placements are not that good, also if you want to prepare for UPSC, do it without getting involved in a college schedule. Though the time is flexible, ultimately it is your choice.Read more

Ques. What is the passing criteria for B.Com (H) year 1 SOl DU?

● Top Answer By Barsha Roy, on 22 Oct 21

Ans. The passing criteria is really low, achieving this will not be a problem. You have to score at least 33% in every subject, out of 75. If you successfully receive this score, you will clear your first year. If you scored lower than 33% in any one of the subjects, your promotion will be stopped. You then have to give ER (Essential Repeat) the following year, which is in your 2nd year. It is quite possible to give ER for only 4 subjects. If it was more than 4 then you will fail and have to repeat the year again.Read more

Ques. Can I change my subject in SOL DU?

● Top Answer By Abhimanyu Sharma on 06 Oct 21

Ans. You can change your subject in SOL DU. As for first-year students, it is better if you visit before the beginning of October. You might be wondering if you would be required to pay any additional charges but that is not the case. It is all free of cost. Visit the SOL DU office and get your ID Card and Fees Receipt checked by the administration. You can then ask the respective authorities about your issue. Fill in the required application form and submit it with the following list of documents: ID Card 12th Marksheet 10th Marksheet Fees Receipt Once your application form is accepted, you need to pay an application fee of INR 100 (depends) on your subject. You will be then handed out a receipt with your fresh SOL roll number.Read more

"No internship"

Only good thing is it's name... When I took admission there was no semester exam.. yearly exams happened...no assignment.. whatever you write..how much you try..they give you average marks.. my life ruined... I got only 47.70% in spite of my all hard work Please don't go for its name..rather took admission in any regular college..

"Most affordable B.Com course SOL DU"

DU SOL gives us the opportunity to pursue a graduate degree through correspondence so one can also do jobs during their studies. who wants to take admission to this college can apply online or offline mode from 15th May to 15 Sep every year. It was the only college of correspondence studies under Delhi university that is the only reason I chose it. I searched through Google and du.ac.in to get information about this college
