Master of Business Administration [MBA] From FMS Delhi Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi

MBA is the flagship program offered by FMS Delhi and it is equivalent to the PGDM offered by top IIMs. MBA at FMS Delhi is a 2 year full time program and it is regarded as one of the most affordable MBA courses in India. The fees for FMS Delhi’s MBA program is just 2 lakhs and this is very low compared to the colleges in the same league like IIM-A, IIM-B IIM-C, XLRI, IIM-L, S.P Jain and MDI Gurgaon. The average package for the batch of 2023 stood at INR 34.1  LPA making it the 5th ranked college in terms of average placements in India. 

The first year of MBA at FMS has common subjects for all where students are made to develop a strong foundation in areas like Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, HR, IT and Communications. At the end of first year, students have to mandatorily complete a 2 month long Summer internship. It is here that many students actually realize what they want to do (and what they don't !). For this reason the option to specialize in a particular field is given to the students in the second year of MBA when they come back from their internship. The specialization depends on the maximum number of electives being chosen from any particular domain.

FMS Delhi Cutoff 2024 (Expected)

As per FMS Delhi's MBA Admission Policy 2024, MBA admission will be granted based on CAT scores. CAT score of 99 percentile is required for an interview at FMS Delhi. In addition to the CAT Score, female candidates are given 5 extra marks for initial shortlisting by the top business schools.

FMS Delhi considers Academic & Gender Diversity along with CAT score to select for Personal Interview. Weightages of 40%, 30% and 30% are assigned to the scores of VARC, DILR and QA sections respectively. Additional 5 marks are awarded to female candidates. Candidates selected for Personal Interviews will be further assessed on the basis of various components to prepare the final merit list. FMS Delhi considers CAT score (Weightage: 50%), Marks Obtained in class X (Max Weightage: 10%), Marks Obtained in class XII (Max Weightage: 10%), Discussion on Statement of Purpose (Max Weightage: 10%), Extempore (Weightage: 5%) and Personal Interview (Max Weightage: 15%) to prepare the final merit list for admissions.

FMS MBA Course Details

• FMS MBA is a 2-year management program that is divided into 4 semesters.
• The curriculum includes core courses, electives courses, and open elective courses.
• The course work consists of 36 credits per semester and 144 in total.
• After the first year, students get the opportunity for summer placements as a part of the course curriculum.
• In the second year, students can choose elective courses as per their own preferences.

FMS MBA Eligibility Criteria & Fees

• The candidates applying for the MBA program at FMS must have passed the bachelor’s degree after 12 years of schooling with at least 50% marks at the graduation level.
• The students belonging to SC/ST category need only to passing marks in graduation for getting admission to FMS MBA.
• The students belonging to OBC/PWD/CW need to have at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level.

FMS MBA Fees

FMS charges INR 50,000 per semester as fees. The total course fee at FMS is INR 2 LPA for 2 years. FMS has other expenses besides fees and the overall cost to study is estimated to be around 6-7 lakhs.

FMS MBA Admission Process

The selection process for MBA at FMS consists of various steps: CAT score, personal interview and extempore speech, class 10th and 12th score, etc. The below table summarizes the weightages given to different sections of CAT for shortlisting students for the interview round

Following is the weightage distribution for the final selection of students who are shortlisted for online interview:

• An extempore discussion with 5% weightage can be about anything, including PI and hot news topics.
• Any topic related to the candidate's personal life can be discussed.

Note: Additional 5 marks are added to the weighted CAT score of women candidates for shortlisting for the interview process. Foreign nationals need to secure a GMAT score of 650 or more.

FMS Delhi MBA Registration: How to Apply? 

• The application process for the MBA program is online at FMS.
• The candidates have to visit the official admission portal through the FMS website and follow the below givens steps:
• Register yourself by creating a login Id using the email Id and phone number.
• Sign in and proceed with the form.
• Enter the mandatory details and upload the necessary documents.
• Pay the application fees and submit the application form.
• The application fee is INR 1000 for general candidates (INR 350 for reserved candidates). The fees can be paid online via an Internet payment gateway, debit, or credit card.

FMS Delhi Placements 2023

FMS Delhi Placement 2023 concluded with a total of 283 offers for the batch 2021-23. About 97% of the students received offers above INR 20 LPA. FMS Delhi's average package stood at INR 34.1 LPA and the highest package at INR 1.23 CPA.
