What students say about Keshav Mahavidyalaya

Likes

  • I chose this course because it was the best course regarding management, which helped me with the subjects I opted for in my 11th and 12th classes.
  • An internship fair will be organized at my college during my time, and many startups and companies will visit the fair and offer around 3 to 4 L per year to the students. Approximately 70% of students secure internships.
  • A lot of companies visited the campus, offering a very good number of jobs.
  • The fee structure for the course is nominal considering todays inflation and the high cost of education in the private sector.
  • My college had a good environment surrounded by greenery and plants. Furthermore, the library was also larger. Equipment in labs was replaced on demand, and sport facilities were good. It had parking inside the college for both students and teachers.
  • No, I havent opted for the hostel, but our college has its own hostel for female college students. The infrastructure is very good, and the sanitary conditions are also very good. It also provides wifi facilities.
  • This college is the best in academics, has great infrastructure, and I like the infrastructure the most. Among the colleges I have been given a chance, I like this college the best because of its academics and infrastructure, and also because it is near my house.

Dislike

  • No, there were no good scholarships or loan facilities offered by the college throughout the entire two years.
  • Participating in events of different colleges is a dream for us; moreover, there is no good hangout point near the college.
  • The only thing I found a bit weird about the college is that they dont have a good placement section, despite being a college of Delhi University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very interesting for sure and our faculty members make this course more interesting their teaching method is soo good which makes the course more interesting and we enjoy learning from them. Psychology is a course which is very interesting fir everyone I guess and I found it interesting because it teaches us about human behaviour and I love to know about the behaviour of humans and their emotions it teaches us how to deal with the emotions and the behaviour and causes of a particular behaviour/ emotion and not only this it teaches us much more but the most interesting part is the learning about mind and behaviour of human. And the Keshav Mahavidyalaya faculty is soo good. And there are 50 students and also mostly student is hardworking. and most of the faculty members have done PhD and their teaching method.

Remarks:

The admission process was easy but it took too much time because the application form required information. I gave CUET exam for admission it was easy as I expected but there were a lot of technical issues because that was the first time CUET was conducted. You can find CUET form on cuet.samarth.ac.in After giving the exam the result was declared and after the result, we had to fill out the preference list form which was also available on the cuet.samarth.ac.in after giving our preferences. Du a lot us a course in which we were fulfilling the criteria of the course. I was allotted my 6th preference which was Keshav Mahavidyalaya for B.A.(HONS) psychology. I got admission easily to this college and the admission process was good but it can be improved they can make the form for the preference easier for the student

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty members at Keshav Mahavidyalaya are well-qualified and experienced in their respective fields, and they provide students with quality education and guidance. The college also has well-equipped labs and facilities for students to conduct research and gain practical experience in the field of psychology. Overall, Keshav Mahavidyalaya is a reputed college for psychology at Delhi University, and students who are interested in pursuing a career in psychology can consider applying to the college.

Remarks:

Overall, the CUET entrance exam is considered to be a challenging exam, and students need to prepare well to score well in the exam. Students can refer to previous years' question papers, take mock tests, and seek guidance from their teachers or mentors to prepare for the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The faculty members are very knowledgeable and well-acquainted with the classroom setting. I chose psychology due to my interest in mental health and related issues that I'll get to address in the field, and the experience of the faculty members proves to be very beneficial for this reason. There are about 150 students in the psychology department and 5 faculty members, estimating the ratio to be around 1:30. The faculty is well qualified, and the professors have their PHDs from prestigious universities and are very experienced. The term exams occur every 6 months and are easy to pass with minimal hours spent studying.

Remarks:

The admission process was pretty simple, there was no entrance exam and it was based on the merit of class 12 board exams. The application form, fees, and dates are released on the official website of Delhi University, its SLC Portal. I did not avail any of the reservation benefits. As CUET has been introduced, many changes have already been made in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My interest in psychology developed during school time when i studied this subject in my 11th and 12th. So I felt that this was something that I could definitely take up for graduation. The teacher-student ratio is good. We have 1 teacher for every 9 students. The faculty is very well qualified. The head of the department and the teacher in charge are professionals in the field of counseling psychology and clinical psychology. The other faculty members too are highly qualified. The teaching methods however are something that is of major concern. Most of the teachers rely on PPTs rather than actually explaining things via exposure which makes learning things about psychology a little boring and mundane. The exams are at a shorter distance, in about 4 months each semester comes to an end which makes it difficult for the faculty to finish the syllabus on time. the exams are very easy and the questions are very to the point and easy to pass.

Remarks:

I actually graduated from school during the covid time, so there was a bit of apprehension about the college admission process. Before the admissions actually began, a webinar was conducted by the university in order to help the students with the admission process. In the webinar, the professor explained the entire procedure very well. At first, we had to make an account on the admissions portal DU to fill in our details and exam marks. Post the declaration of results of the 12th board exams, we were also asked to set in our exam marks. After that, the cut-offs were realised on the basis of which we could go back to the portal and apply for the college we were eligible for. For Keshav Mahavidyalaya for Psychology Hons, the cut-off was 97% in the third list, making me eligible for the course (best of four). Post application, the documents were sent online for verification after which the admission was finalized by paying the fees. The entire admission process was very smooth.
