What students say about Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College - [BRAC]

Likes

  • The course, B.Com Honors, is arguably the best course offered by the University of Delhi. It provides comprehensive knowledge of statistics, economy, business, and accounting, along with elective subjects for a diverse range of knowledge.
  • I did my internship with Fever 104 FM, HT Media in the area of marketing and event management. It was a wonderful experience. My team always believed in and motivated me throughout the internship.
  • Very good, the bee course students get many placement opportunities, and there are internship opportunities for every student.
  • The fees basically depend on the course we select, but the students of Delhi University are lucky enough as they get admission based on the entrance and merit quota. The fees are affordable to everyone.
  • There are many societies in college, and by joining them, you can learn many things.
  • There is no hostel in our college, but there is a canteen which is quite good, and the food is also affordable and fresh.
  • Our college receives very positive remarks because of its excellent location and the quality of its facilities. The faculty at our college are also highly regarded, including the teachers in all departments and the staff.

Dislike

  • Very few companies like HCL and WIPRO came for placements at North campus and, as per my knowledge, they only selected the toppers. I believe this was a biased selection process.
  • Education loans can be sanctioned, and there is a fee waiver to some extent for poor students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose b.com hons as I wanted to study commerce further. The faculty is quite average. Although some teachers are highly qualified some lack the passion for teaching. The exams are held on a semester basis every 6 months and are very easy to pass.

Remarks:

I took admitted in 2020 when the admission was done completely merit-based but now you have to give CUET to get into this college. reservation benefits are available. I think now the admission process has become completely online and a bit easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Social workers assist people in coping and enhancing their quality of life by listening to their needs, whether they are small children, adults, or the elderly. You will be able to fill a range of diverse professional tasks with a degree in social work. Working with older people, in hospitals, or the foster care industry are a few of these positions. Many employers will value the skills you gain while pursuing this degree. Communication with clients, problem-solving, empathy, teamwork, and time management are all transferable skills that can be used in a variety of social work roles as well as other professions. Most of the faculty are quite well-versed and hold doctoral degrees. During the course, you will be placed in an agency by your Field Work Supervisor. There are semester exams every 6 months.

Remarks:

Must have passed 12th Standard from a recognized board. Admission to DU courses is done on basis of CUET and one must score well in the following subject combination: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2. Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combination of subjects. After your name appears in the cutoff, pay the fees on the portal to confirm your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in it. The faculty is very good and gives their best time to time and they not only cover course but help in life advises also. The faculty is supportive. There is only one exam semester exam which is easy to pass and there is some internals that is of 25 marks and the exam is of 75 marks. Internal includes assignments, tests, and 5 marks are of attendance. The faculty is well educated and the teachers too good. If you are regular in your classes then you will score well as you can ride with the flow of the teacher. The faculty knows how to complete the syllabus within time with all the concepts cleared .some teachers are average but the majority of the faculty is supportive. They advise you in every manner they can. Doubts are also resolved via WhatsApp or call as teachers are always available for doubt sessions. we have some smart classes or labs where teachers teach on whiteboards making the concept easier to understand and retain.

Remarks:

As eligibility criteria student must have maths as their subject in 12th class though he can exclude maths in the best four. The application form is available online. There are reservation benefits too. The admission process is smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had an interest in finance and commerce. The commerce and economics faculty of our college is quite known. the student-teacher ratio is appropriate and no issues have ever been seen. the teachers here are highly qualified. the exams were well timed and in curriculum and rigorous studies are required to score good marks.

Remarks:

In my batch which is 2020, Admissions were based on merit which is how much we scored on our boards. The application form can be accessed on the official website of Delhi university. Yes, there is the benefit of reservation as specified by Delhi university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course contents are good but not enough good to make you industry ready. Obviously, you'll have to learn more skills other than the curriculum. And the faculty is just okay, there are some very good teachers and vice versa

Remarks:

My admission was through merit which is the marks of class 12th in which you had to select any four which must include a language subject. But now students are admitted through the CUET exam. Everything is done online.

Placement Experience:

In the final year generally, you can apply for placements but don't expect much high salary. The highest package was 7lakh and avg is about 4lakhs. My plan is to pursue MBA as graduation is not enough for high-salaried jobs.

Remarks:

12th pass with any recognized institution. Available on Delhi University's official site for the CUET exam. Application fees are to be notified every year. Application dates are also to be notified.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I become a teacher in the future and this course was is very helpful for me after I graduate from joining the B.Ed. The course at Delhi University. And in this course, the student ratio is very high because this course is very demandable in this field. In this university, there are 6 semesters in a year. Per semester is 6 months.

Remarks:

In this university admission process was very changed and the entrance exam was also a cuet exam before admission. and this process is an online process. And in this entrance exam, it was 12th base general knowledge questions reasoning maths questions English other subjects included in this exam.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the fifth semester for campus placement. There are so many companies that visit the campus like TCS, Byjus, Delta X, etc. The highest package offered on campus was around 9 LPA and average packages are around 3 LPA. When you are pursuing graduation from DU then during the campus placements your percentage won't matter, they basically check your capabilities, your confidence your knowledge through interview rounds. If you qualify then you will get campus placement easily. I will pursue an accounting job after this degree.

Remarks:

When I took the admission it was on the basis of a merit list. In which the aggregate of the best 4 is considered. Usually, the last cutoff in this college is around 75-80%. Don't lose hope till the end you can get into this college if you are an average student. It is a DU college so you have to just fill out the Du admission form which costs 250/-. I got the reservation benefit of OBC but there are no such benefits for OBCs, cutoffs are usually the same for general and OBCs admission.
